MAGALI DE MOOR

Textile Designer

Magali De Moor is a Belgian textile designer with a passion for knitwear.

Her work is mainly focused on textiles such as printmaking and knitwear both for interior and fashion. From 2016 until 2022 she obtained a Master of Arts in Textiles Design at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Ghent) followed with a Master of Art in Creative Knitwear Design at Accademia Costume e Moda (Roma).

During her years of education she gained different work experiences. She interned at the Patrizia Ortenzi Design Studio in Como, Italy where she mastered the art of printmaking. Later on she worked for Belgian clothing brand Caroline Biss. And in 2022 she immersed herself into knitwear, a technique she is very passionate about at Studio Philo in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

She likes the use of combinations in different structures of yarns which can give surprising results. Since her work often starts with her own memories, she makes an effort to give a poetic and narrative input.
